Juan Emilio Echevarría Is a senior researcher at the Reference Laboratory of vaccine-preventable viral diseases at the National Centre for Microbiology (CNM) of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII, Madrid, Spain). He is the Head of the Exanthematic Virus, Mumps and Rabies Unit and the main researcher of the group of the Consortium for Biomedical Research in Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP-ISCIII), at the CNM. He is responsible for the rabies surveillance at the National Reference Laboratory (CNM) and the related line of research.
