Dr. Angeliki Melidou is an Assistant Professor of Molecular Microbiology-Virology at the Microbiology Department of the School of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, currently a Seconded National Expert at the Influenza and other Respiratory virus Disease Program at ECDC. She is a member of GISRS (and former GISN), EISS (and former EISN) and ERLI-net and has been engaged at the National Influenza Centre for northern Greece and to the national and international influenza surveillance activities since 2004. She has 167 published materials in national and international journals and conferences. She is selected to the editorial board of Eurosurveillance, Epidemiology and Infection, Journal of Medical Virology, Intervirology And African Journal of Microbiological Research
