Call for Nominations for WSV Leadership Positions

The World Society for Virology invites nominations for its 2026–2028 Executive Committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

As we look toward the future of the World Society for Virology (WSV), the process of identifying the next generation of leaders is both vital and exciting. The strength and global impact of our Society depend on the vision, dedication, and diversity of its leadership.
We are now seeking nominations for the following key positions to join the Executive Committee:

Vice President (Africa)
Vice President (Asia)
Vice President (Australia/NZ)
Vice President (North America)
Vice President (Latin America)
Treasurer-Elect (Europe)
Treasurer-Elect (USA)
Secretary-Elect
Head, Training and Career Development Committee

We warmly invite our esteemed Council members to leverage their professional networks to identify highly qualified and motivated individuals who can provide exceptional service and help steer the WSV toward continued success.
Nomination Criteria:
Proven Leadership and Commitment: Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills and a dedication to advancing WSV’s mission.
Potential for Impact: Individuals with the energy and vision to implement initiatives benefiting the global virology community are encouraged.
Global and Gender Balance: Nominations promoting geographical and gender diversity are strongly encouraged.
Self-Nominations: Qualified and enthusiastic members are welcome to nominate themselves.
A general call for interest will also be issued to the wider WSV membership. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further consideration.
