Dr. Navarro (Ph.D.) has 29 years working on vector-borne diseases and arboviruses eco-epidemiology, phylogenetics, and evolution of vectors parasites and arboviruses. He is a full professor at Universidad Internacional SEK-UISEK, Ecuador (Center for Biodiversity, Environmental Health, and Emerging Diseases) and Full Professor-Emeritus in Universidad Central de Venezuela-UCV (Vector Biology Lab). Chief of Research Program at Natural Sciences and Biotechnology-UISEK Visiting Scientist at University of Galveston, Texas-UTMB (Medical Entomology Lab & Galveston National Lab and Centro Internacional de Zoonosis, UCE-Ecuador. He is PI and international collaborator in more a dozen Grants in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, USA. He has more than 80 publications on vector-borne diseases and arboviruses, including Aedes, Culex and Anopheles species, Alphaviruses, Flaviviruses, and Oropouche virus, phylogenetics and evolution. Editorial Committee and reviewer in several international journals, reviewer of Grants proposal, researchers valuation and students dissertations of Financial Institutes in Latin America and Africa. More than 30 graduate students in his expertise topics.
