Prof. Patrice N Marche is the head of Analytical Immunology of Chronic Diseases team, in Institute for Advanced Biosciences, France. He got Fundamental Immunology Diploma, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France, 1979. In 1982, he got his PhD (Biochemistry- Immunology), University Paris, France. 1983-85: post-doctor at NIH-NIAID, Bethesda, MD, USA (Forgherti award). He was the head of the INSERM Research Unit 548, in CEA-Grenoble, France (1996 – 2006). Since 2009, he acts as an expert for the French Foreign Ministry for international scientific programmes. From 1999-2004, he worked as an expert for the ANRS (French Agency for AIDS and Viral Hepatitis). From 2009-2016, he was the president of the Scientific Council for the Regional “Ligue contre le Cancer”. Member of the Council of Medicine faculty of Grenoble. Occasional expert for European Union calls, ANR, Universities. His main research interests include the repertoire of the immune responses (TCR, antibodies), regulation of immune responses by dendritic cells, and the immune system of the liver in Viral Hepatitis chronic infections and liver cancer and endogenous retrovirus. In addition to the development of miniaturised tools for analysis of the immune system by protein and cell chips for diagnostic and prognostic of nanoparticles for therapy and vaccines. He has six patents that lead to two start-up companies [GeNeuro SA (Geneva, Switzerland; ImmunID Technology, Grenoble, France] and one clinical trial for the use of a monoclonal antibody as new treatment against Multiple Sclerosis (currently in Phase2b).
