Prof. Zulqarnain Baloch obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2008 at the University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Lahore Pakistan. He then finished his Ph.D. in Environmental Biology (Microbiology) in 2016 at the Kunming University of Science and Technology. After holding a Post-doctoral position at the South China Agricultural University for 3 years and an Associate Professor at Northwest Minzu University for one year, Prof. Baloch started a Full Professor position at the Faculty of Life Science and Technology, at Kunming University of Science and Technology in September 2020. During his research career, he has authored or co-authored almost 100 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, 2 complete books (New Findings on Human Papillomavirus, Translated Chinese CACA guidelines for cancer treatments into Urdu), and 2 book chapters, and given more than 5 oral presentations at international conferences and workshops. In the last three years, he was part of the scientific advisory committee of three international conferences and is currently supervising M.sc students in different research areas.
Prof. Baloch and his group have conducted research on the epidemic of infectious diseases and antibiotic-resistant microbes in the world. His contribution in Molecular Biology especially molecular virology and animal model development has been recognized at home and abroad and his research work has been published in almost 100 peer-reviewed research papers in International Science certified index Journals with an overall impact factor of more than 500 and total citations more than 4800s.
